Credit Buy: The Dolly Knit

Today I will be mainly transporting myself back to Bank Holiday Monday morning, lying peacefully on an Isle of Wight cliff top covered in heather... Opposed to dealing with having just found my home completely splattered in Carnival paint.  All together now; "Ommmmmmmmm...!!"

In celebration of Dolly Alderton’s witty memoir, ‘Everything I Know About Love,’ British knitwear brand Hades has created a lambswool ‘Dolly Knit’ inspired by the brainy Bardot’esq babe herself (RRP. 160.00).

Available in Powder Pink and Blood Red, these sweaters both have ‘Know Thyself’ embroidered onto the inner sleeve of the left arm, which is perhaps wiser than the usual heart we’ve been known to leave there...!

#OOTD: 27.12.16

Launching her label in 2011, after studying at London College of Fashion and travelling the world as a model, Hayley Menzies’ unique designs have since become synonymous with the eccentric, yet effortlessness style associated with the Portobello girl. Fun, fluffy and most importantly, environmentally conscious, London-based Hayley Menzies’ knitwear uses ethically sourced materials from Europe, and every item is handmade using the finest Italian yarns.

It was Hayley’s charcoal coloured, leopard print Elgin Poncho trimmed with super soft, cotton-candy coloured shearling (now in the sale: RRP. £213.00) that grabbed my eye. Not only am I also a huge leopard print fan (‘you can take the girl outta Africa…’) but as a Portobello gal myself, I just HAD to have this stand-out, cosy winter warmer.

I love wearing my poncho as a snuggly alternative to a coat, worn here over my Donna Ida Eliza Dungarees and grey Kurt Geiger Ladbrook Trainers (also now in the sale.)  This poncho is also the most perfect post Christmas cover-up, hiding a multitude of sins (and Quality Streets...!)

Elgin Poncho in Dusky Pink (RRP. Reduced from £355.00 to £213.00)

I’m also very keen to get my mitts on, and into, a pair of Hayley’s Long Elgin Paw Warmers (now also in the sale reduced from RRP. £80.00 £48.00) to match my poncho!  I do so love a fellow crazy cat lady!

Credit Buy: Olympia Le Tan x Mr Men

The leader of the coolest book club in town, Parisian designer Olympia Le Tan, has recently paid homage to Roger Hargreave’s 'Mister Men' series and I have never coveted one of her designs more. TOO CUTE!

In particular, the ‘Little Mix Chatterbox,’ clutch (RRP. £630.00), with its hand embroidery and Liberty-print lining, could not be more perfect for ol’TLC herself!  Wear with jeans and a simple jumper (I am wearing Enlist's Isabella Kimono Knit) and let this little one do aaall the talking.

Credit Buy: JETS by Jessika Allen Statement Kaftan at Beach Cafe

I recently experienced some of the world’s most beautiful scenery on a road trip in the U.S.A.   The rivers and fields in Montana that I continuously stumbled upon were utterly idyllic and beyond stunning - but also, beyond hot!  I was so relieved to be wearing my JETS by Jessika Allen Statement Kaftan.  Not only is the kaftan's kaleidoscope and tassel print totally striking, but it’s light weight, soft material made this the ultimate cool choice for me to be hopping in and out of the car in (or patiently sitting on the side of a bank watching various live reenactment of 'A River Runs Through It' - Brad, eat your heart out!)

I can’t wait to wear this colourful beauty again on my next beach holiday (which could NOT come soon enough!) as it really will be the perfect little poolside cover-up.

Available (in the sale!) HERE at one of my favourite beachwear sites, Beach Cafe (£117.60)

Credit Buy: Wilbur & Gussie Edith Clutch Bags

I have long been a fan of Wilbur & Gussie’s eye-catching clutch bags.  Using modern prints and vintage jewelled brooches, on a range of textiles designed in-house, Wilbur & Gussie’s designs have become synonymous with British wit and elegance, and a firm fixture in my wardrobe.  To celebrate the company’s new flagship store in London’s Marylebone earlier this year, I was spoilingly asked to pick a new clutch bag… The choice was overwhelming!  Entering the new shop is like diving into a large box of Quality Streets; so bright... so colourful... which one to pick... WHICH ONE TO PICKKK??!!

I eventually decided to go for the Edith Orange Bee Clutch, one I have had my be(e)ady eye on for a while!  I get so many compliments whenever I take her on the town and it is now, amongst some of it’s other pretty pals, in the sale! Hurry…

RRP. £90.00 (in sale)

These vibrant and tribal beauties are pretty, well structured and sophisticated.  Perfect for running to and from meetings, I am currently loving welcoming my ankles back from their wooly hibernation, wearing my Peach Tapestry Najets  (RRP. £ 170.00) with skinny jeans.

Credit Buy: Alice by Temperley's Celia Dress

Oh Zut Alorrrrrs, I am suffering from THE worst case of Le FOMO... I am daydreaming of being in Paris for Paris Fashion Week.   Yesterday, attempting to make up for the intense lack of croissants and couture in my life, I headed to Megan’s café in Chelsea (above) for brunch and  pretended I was at Café de Flore... This helped un petit peu.  Today however, I am wishing I was floating nonchalantly down the Champ Elysees in this beautiful polka-dot tulle Alice by Temperley Celia Maxidress (belowRRP. £445.00 at  Cool, alluring, flirty and with just the right amount of je ne sais quoi.
Je voudrais this beauty and a Eurostar ticket s'il vous plait.
